Brent - my husband!
We met in October 2008, became an official couple in November 2008, got engaged October 30, 2009, and got married on October 15, 2010. Some people may think our relationship seems rushed, but to us it is perfect. When you know, you know... and we knew. Not only is he my husband, he is also my best friend and my soul mate. I knew after just being his friend for a month that I wanted to be with him for the rest of my life. We share a lot of common interests and a similar love of life. We compliment each other well and bring out the best in each other. He is definitely my missing puzzle piece and I love him with all my heart.
Emmeline - our daughter.
Elly came into our lives on November 3, 2010 at 5:34 pm and immediately stole our hearts. I always knew I wanted to be a mom and have a family and my dream finally came true. She is absolutely perfect.
Kenji and Leela - our furbabies.
We adopted Kenji (on the right) from our local animal shelter in May 2009, after I finally convinced Brent that we needed him because he needed a good home. He immediately became part of our family, and he knew he ran the show. In September 2010, we decided that Kenji would probably be jealous of the baby when she was born since he was so used to getting all of our attention. So, we decided to adopt another cat. After visiting the shelter multiple times and taking Kenji in for a "meet and greet" with the other cats, our hearts landed on Leela (on the left). Leela and Kenji get along great and are a "purr"fect match!
Kristin and Brad.
Two of the most amazing friends anyone could ever ask for. They have stuck by our side and been extremely supportive and helpful, not only throughout the pregnancy but through everything else we've been faced with in the past two years. They are very important to us and we are lucky to have them as friends. They have also been made "honorary" aunt and uncle to Elly.
Megan.
One of my best friends and I love this girl! We have a rocky past, that led us to a great friendship. We recently graduated from CMU together and she has moved back home to complete her dietetic internship at a hospital downstate. Because of this we do not see each other very often anymore, but remain close through the power of the phone and interwebs. She is also an "honorary" aunt to Elly.
Ashley.
Another amazing friend who has been great support to us,. What amazes me is that Ashley and I have never technically met and we are still such great friends. We "met" through a weight loss community online, and recently became very close. I love her and will always support her because she has shown the same for me. Her and her boyfriend, Berkeley, have also been made "honorary" aunt and uncle to Elly.
